Holy Day of obligation

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Masses are Tuesday, August 14 (Vigil) at 7 pm, Wednesday, August 15 at 8 am, & 7 pm (Bilingual).  No 5pm Wednesday Mass.

Blood Drive

Our next parish blood drive will be Tuesday, July 17 from 3pm-7pm in the school gym. Looking for volunteers to help work the blood drive (help pass out refreshments, & sign-in donors at registration). Sign-ups will be before & after masses the weekend of July 7-8 & 14-15. Please call Cheryl Grskovich at 696-4706.

Fr. Rick out of town

Fr. Rick will be gone from the parish from July 10 through July 15. During his absence, Fr. Pat Gaza & Fr. Bill Stenzel will be here to celebrate weekday & weekend Masses. Should a funeral occur, one of these priests will preside in Fr. Rick’s absence.


We are in need of various supplies for our upcoming Vacation Bible School which will take place the week June 18th. There will be Donation Request Forms available in the vestibule. If you’d like to help out, pick up a form and return your items either to the vestibule of the church or the church office prior to Wednesday, June 13th. As always… thank you for your generosity!!

Fr. Rick retreat

Fr. Rick will be at the annual Diocesan priest retreat from June 11-15.  Fr. Bill Stenzel will celebrate daily Mass. Please note that the Wednesday Mass will be at 8 am instead of 5 pm.

Rummage Sale

Drop offs will be May 29th – June 5th from 7am-4pm This sale is a great success every year due to your generous donations of time & treasure. Help is needed during the drop off period as well as days of the sale. Contact June Leader at (219) 476-6735.

Sale will be June 6 – June 8 from 7am to 4pm & June 9 from 7am to noon.

Memorial Day Mass

Memorial day Mass at St. Edward Cemetery (Burr Street) will be on Monday, May 28 at 9am. Bring your lawn chairs. In case of rain, Mass will be celebrated in church.

Graduation Mass

A special graduation Mass for all high school & college graduates will be celebrated on May 27 at 8am. Graduates, please arrive by 7:45am to lineup to process in together. Please wear your cap and gown.

  • 12pm – Midday Prayer & the Blessing of Baskets followed by Easter Egg Hunt
  • 3pm – Divine Mercy Novena
  • 8pm – Easter Vigil Mass

Easter Sunday – April 1

  • 8:00am – Mass
  • 11:00am – Mass
  • 12:30pm – Spanish Mass
  • 3:00pm – Divine Mercy Novena

Divine Mercy Novena will continue Monday, April 2 at 3pm through Saturday, April 7.  Divine Mercy Sunday Service is on April 8 at 2pm.
