Charity is infinitely inventive.- St. Vicent de Paul
Every Thursday from 10-11:30 AM, there is a food pantry open to anyone in need in the Lowell area.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s work is unique in that Vincentians offer tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. SVDP operates at St. Edward's with the blessing of our pastor. They are a separate, independent organization that offers to those living in the Lowell area finacial assistance for housing, utlities, medcines, etc.
The mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is “a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.”
An essential principle of the Society’s work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of our neighbors in need.
